Description
AKD English name alkylketene dimmer AKD, as a reactive neutral paper sizing agent.
Chinese name English name AKD alkylketene dimmer AKD traits waxy solid melting point 51 ~ 52 ℃
Properties:
AKD is an unsaturated lactone, the product is water insoluble waxy solid, melting point of about 51 ~ 52 ℃. AKD sizing agent for paper must be made of emulsion particle size of their products about O.5 ~ 2μm, white emulsion, and easy to hydrolysis, it is generally shorter storage period, only 3 to 6 months. At present, because of the development of synthetic and emulsion technology, AKD emulsion solids content up to 40% or higher, the hydrolysis and migration tendencies are greatly limited.
Purpose:
As a reactive neutral paper sizing agents, mainly used as an internal sizing copperplate paper, copy paper, archival paper, paper dictionaries and high-quality writing paper paper grades. Sizing pH value of up to about 8.O, solid alkaline sizing can be called, at home and abroad widely used. This product can also be used as a surface sizing use.
