Cotton textile industry as desizing agent, scouring agent and mercerizing agent. The chemical industry for the production of borax, sodium cyanide, formic acid, oxalic acid, phenol and the like. Petroleum industry for refined petroleum products, and for oil field drilling mud. Also used in the production of aluminum, zinc and metal surface treatment of metallic copper and glass, enamel, leather, pharmaceuticals, dyes and pesticides. Food-grade products in the food industry as an acid neutralizer, can be used for citrus, peaches and other peeling agents, and bleaching agents, deodorant.
