Product nature:
　　 Liquid sodium chlorite is a white or slightly yellowish-green aqueous solution, alkaline, and slightly hygroscopic. Easily soluble in water and alcohol. Sodium chlorite is relatively stable at room temperature and normal storage conditions, and it can be easily separated into chlorine dioxide gas in case of acid. It is easy to explode or burn when in contact with wood chips, organic matter, reducing substances, impact, friction, toxic!

Product Usage:
　　 This product is mainly used for the manufacture of chlorine dioxide, but also for the bleaching of fibers, fabrics, oils, pulp, etc., surface treatment of certain metals and water sterilization.

Packaging and marking:
　　 The liquid is packed in PVC plastic barrels, with a net weight of 250kg per barrel. According to user requirements processing and production. A clear mark should be applied on the packaging container, including: manufacturer name, address, product name, trademark, net content, batch number or production date, this standard number and the "oxidant" mark.

Precautions for storage and transportation:

Toxicity and protective measures:

SODIUM CHLORITE is self-reactive. The trihydrate crystals of sodium chlorite explode on percussion. Sodium chlorite reacts with acids to form spontaneously explosive chlorine dioxide gas (ClO2). If heated above 347°F, the reaction yields enough heat to become self-sustaining, [Mellor 2 Supp. 1:573 1956]. Ammonia with chlorites produces ammonium chlorite, which is a shock-sensitive compound. Finely divided metallic or organic substances, if mixed with chlorites, are highly flammable and may be ignited on friction [Lab. Gov. Chemist 1965]. A mixture of organic matter and sodium chlorite can be extremely sensitive to heat, impact, or friction (Diox Process 1949). Sodium chlorite reacts very violently with organic materials containing divalent sulfur or with free sulfur (may ignite).
