Chlorinated polyethylene, saturated polymer materials, the appearance of white powder, non-toxic and tasteless, has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring properties. The toughness is good (at -30 DEG C) and has good compatibility with other polymer materials.

In 1960s, the German Hoechst company successfully developed the first industrial production. Since the end of 1970s, China began to develop chlorinated polyethylene. The first was successfully developed by the Anhui Institute of chemical industry, "aqueous suspension synthesis of CPE technology", and has been in Anhui, Jiangsu, Taicang,, built 500 to 1000t/a on the production of different sizes of the device.

CPE is a kind of saturated rubber, which has excellent heat aging resistance, ozone aging, acid and alkali resistance, and chemical properties.

Rubber type CPE is a kind of special synthetic rubber with excellent comprehensive properties, ozone aging resistance and flame retardancy.

Chlorinated polyethylene resin is a new kind of synthetic material with a series of excellent properties. It is PVC plastic excellent anti impact modifier, synthetic rubber is of good performance, has a very wide range of applications, has been widely used in cable, wire, tape, rubber hose, rubber products, sealing material, flame retardant conveyor belt, waterproofing materials, thin films and various profiles and other products. CPE can also be blended with polypropylene, high and low pressure polyethylene, ABS, etc., to improve the flame retardant properties, aging resistance and printing properties of the products. CPE can be regarded as a random copolymer of ethylene, polyethylene and 1.2 one or two vinyl chloride, its molecular chain saturated, polar chlorine atoms are in random distribution, because of their excellent physical and chemical properties, widely used in machinery, electric power, chemical industry, building materials and mining industry. CPE heat resistance, ozone resistance and weather resistance, aging resistance and oil resistance is better than most rubber, nitrile rubber (NBR), Ding Xiangjiao (CR), chlorine aging is better than that of chlorosulfonated vinyl chloride (CSM); acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive properties, nontoxic, nonflammable, non explosive.

Main applications: wire and cable (cable, UL regulations and VDE standards in line with the coal mine), hydraulic hose, hose, car tape, rubber, PVC plastic pipe modification, magnetic materials, ABS modification and so on.
