    Chemical properties: At room temperature, nickel oxide is green to black-green cubic crystal powder, which turns yellow when overheated. The relative density is 6.67. Melting point 1984 ° C. Soluble in acid and ammonia water, insoluble in water and liquid ammonia. When heated to 400 ° C, it becomes nickel trioxide by absorbing oxygen in the air. It is reduced to nickel monoxide at 600 ℃. Nickel monoxide prepared at low temperature has chemical activity. Nickel monoxide obtained by calcining at 1000 ℃ at high temperature is greenish yellow with little activity. Moreover, as the preparation temperature increases, its density and resistance increase, and its solubility and catalytic activity decrease.
