Soluble in ethanol and ethyl ether, ethanol solution with blue fluorescence, soluble in most of the non volatile oil and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in mineral oil, slightly soluble in water, not soluble in glycerol. Relative density (D184) 1.1682, used in spices.
