Description
MID-A1200 is an economical and effective chelating agents for iron ion stabilization. It can be used in all acid solutions including 15-28% hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid systems. It controls iron ions in active acids and waste acids and prevents iron ions from precipitating in acid solutions. Surfactants and mutual solvents can also be compatible with it. The concentration is doubled when the strata contain meteorite iron or high concentration of soluble iron. Conventional concentration 5-30 gal/1000gal (0.5-3%)
This product can prevent iron ion compounds from precipitating in acid solution, restore permeability and improve acidizing effect.
MIDAS Iron control additives in oil and gas wells stimulation can be used as one of the following three ways:
- As a chelating agent
- As a reducing agent
- As a pH control agent
MID-A1200 is chelating agent iron control agent which is effective in a wide range of acid solutions and downhole temperatures.
- This additive is used primarily in acid stimulation treatment fluids to prevent precipitation of control and reduce the amount of induced ashpaltene sludge during acidizing oil wells.
- It is an effective iron-control material.
- It is suited for acidizing associated with disposal and Injection wells where an iron deposit is
present.
- System can be used in stimulation of oil and gas producing Wells.
- Soluble in both acid and water.
- Compatible with all acid additives.
- Easy to mix and handle.
- Control iron hydroxide to PH 8.
Direct contact may cause minor irritation of the skin.
In persons predisposed to skin problems, minor rash may occur.
Contact with the eyes may cause burns that may affect corneal opacity.
Although ingestion is not a typical route of entry, ingestion may be harmful, or fatal depending upon quantity consumed.
Due to the low volatility of this product, inhalation is unlikely.
If product is atomized or misted, inhalation will cause moderate to severe irritation of the upper respiratory tract.
