Specification

BWF160 is an Emulsion of Dimethyl Polysiloxane (Silicon Type) It is a foam control agent for use in a wide range of aqueous industrial systems, particularly in textile processing and other surfactant systems.
Appearance	White emulsion, water based
Water Miscibility:	Forms a good dispersion
Fluidity:	Viscosity not greater than 1000cps @ 20 oC DIN 53019 100rpm
Cleanliness	No particles after screening through a 400 Micron aperture screen
Emulsion Particle Size:	90% less than 100 Mircrons
Water Content:	Not greater than 85%

Application
Normally used as delivered. Where very small quantities are to be added, it can be pre-diluted with soft or distilled water. The level of addition recommended is normally between 10 - 100 ppm and should be optimized by trial.

Package and Storage

1. Packed in 200kgs net plastic drums, and 1000kgs net IBC drums

2. Soluble in water, safe, non-toxic, harmless, non-flammable and non-explosive, it can be stored at room temperature, it cannot be placed in the sun. It is slightly acidic, when skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.

Storage Conditions:

Dimethicones should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry, place; they are stable to heat and are resistant to most chemical substances although they are affected by strong acids. Thin films of dimethicone may be sterilized by dry heat for at least 2 hours at 160°C. Sterilization of large quantities of dimethicone by steam autoclaving is notrecommended since excesswater diffuses intothe fluid causing it to become hazy.
