Sodium senite is disodium ethylene bisdithiocarbamate, which is an important intermediate of bactericides such as mancozeb and mancozeb.
The preparation method is to add clear water to the reaction kettle in advance, add ethylenediamine under stirring, control the reaction temperature to be less than 35°C and start adding carbon disulfide dropwise. After the dropwise addition is completed, keep the reaction material temperature at about 30°C and continue stirring for 30 minutes. When the pH of the medium is ≤9, start adding 20% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to the reaction kettle in batches. When adding alkali, the reaction temperature is controlled at about 35ºC. After each batch of sodium hydroxide is added, the pH of the reaction solution is controlled to be ≤9 before adding A batch of sodium hydroxide under the Chemicalbook. After all the sodium hydroxide has been added, continue the heat preservation reaction for 1 hour, take a sample and observe that there are no obvious oil droplets in the material, that is, the end of the reaction has been reached, and the temperature is lowered to 25°C. Stop stirring and stand still to separate the unreacted carbon disulfide. The light yellow liquid is the aqueous solution of sodium daisen. There are one-step and two-step methods for the synthesis of sodium daisen. The two-step method is adopted in China. This method is conducive to controlling the formation of by-product sodium trithiocarbonate, so the product quality is good and the yield is also high.
