Application

1.In gardening and other agriculture, white powder 7487-88-9 magnesium sulfate anhydrous is used to correct a magnesium or sulfur deficiency in soil.
2.In food preparation, magnesium sulfate is used as a brewing salt in beer production or used as a coagulant for making tofu.
3.In chemistry, anhydrous magnesium sulfate is commonly used as a desiccant in organic synthesis due to its affinity for water.
4.For Marine use, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is used to maintain the magnesium concentration in marine aquaria which contain large amounts of stony corals.
5.For medicine use,white powder 7487-88-9 magnesium sulfate anhydrous is used in pregnant women to control seizures due to certain complications of pregnancy (eg, severe toxemia) and to control high blood pressure, severe brain function problems (encephalopathy), and seizures in children who have sudden, severe inflammation of the kidneys (acute nephritis). Besides, magnesium sulfate is also used as a laxative to relieve occasional constipation.

It is a magnesium salt and a metal sulfate.|A small colorless crystal used as an anticonvulsant, a cathartic, and an electrolyte replenisher in the treatment of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. It causes direct inhibition of action potentials in myometrial muscle cells. Excitation and contraction are uncoupled, which decreases the frequency and force of contractions.
