2. Physical and Chemical properties

This product is a colorless transparent liquid with boiling point of 114℃, flash point of 16℃ (closed cup), melting point of-50℃, density of 1.005 g/mL (25℃), and refractive index of 1.4512 (20℃).A pungent smell.It can mix with ethanol, ether, methanol, acetone, benzene, and carbon tetrachloride and is almost insoluble in water.

4. Characteristics and uses

Cyclopentane chloride is a pharmaceutical intermediate that can be used in the preparation of Palbociclib.It can also be used as reductant and imaging agent, organic synthesis for the preparation of oxime, but also as a raw material for synthetic anti-cancer drugs (hydroxyurea), sulfamide (Xinamine), anti-cold drugs and pesticides (desovir).It is used as a depolarization in electroanalysis and as a short-term disant in the synthetic rubber industry.It can also be used for organic synthesis.
