Sodium formate is used in the production of formic acid, oxalic acid, formamide and sodium hydroxide, as a camouflage acid in the leather industry, chromium tanning process, as a catalyst and stabilized synthetic agent. Used as a food preservative in the food industry, used in Chemicalbook preservatives for soy sauce, vinegar, low-salt pickles, fruit juice, jam, fruit wine, soda, beverage syrup, tobacco, etc. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used in the preparation of sedatives such as sodium glycerin and the antiseptic of traditional Chinese medicine pill syrup. It is also used for anti-corrosion and anti-mildew of anti-rust paper, latex paint, shoe polish, glue, fabric. In addition, it can also be used to manufacture mordants in the dye industry, plasticizers in the plastics industry, and as a raw material in the perfume industry.
