Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging specification is 25kg inner polyethylene plastic lined woven bag with heat-sealed sealing to isolate outside moisture and carbon dioxide; bulk ton jumbo bag packing is available upon customers’ large-quantity customized demand. Products must be stored inside dry, cool, well-sealed dedicated hazardous chemical warehouse, completely isolated from all kinds of acidic raw materials, oxidizing agents, edible food raw materials and humid ground environment. All packages need to keep tightly closed all the time to prevent caustic soda absorbing moisture and carbon dioxide in air leading to deliquescence, caking and content decline. Avoid outdoor open-air stacking and direct sunlight exposure. Under standard sealed dry storage environment, valid shelf life reaches 12 months.

Safety Information
Caustic soda is highly corrosive dangerous goods classified as UN1823, Hazard Class 8 corrosive substance for international transportation. During loading, unpacking and dosing operation, operators must wear alkali-resistant rubber gloves, splash-proof safety goggles and full-body protective apron to prevent skin and eye corrosion from solid dust or dissolved alkaline liquid. Once accidental splash contacts human skin or eyes, rinse contaminated position continuously with large amount of running clean water for no less than 15 minutes and seek professional medical treatment in severe cases. All overland and ocean shipment must comply with IMDG international dangerous goods transportation rules. Complete MSDS documents including leakage disposal guidance, fire prevention measures and first-aid instructions will be attached along with each shipment cargo.
