Description	Pentapeptide-18 reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. It targets in vitro the wrinkle-formation mechanism of expression wrinkles in a new way, offering an alternative to peptides like Acetyl Hexapeptide-3. It can be incorporated in cosmetic formulations such as emulsions, gels, and waxes . Pentapeptide-18 is a neuropeptide mimicing the natural mechanism of enkephalins, that gives botulinum like results. It reduces the depth of stretch marks and wrinkles caused by the muscle contractions.
Function	Pentapeptide-18 has been used in anti-wrinkle eye serum to reduce the the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles-crow's feet with significant improvement in skin roughness.
