Galantamine hydrobromide is a tertiary alkaloid that has been extracted from plant sources and is now synthesized for use in the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD). Galantamine acts both as a reversible competitive inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and as an allosteric modulator of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. 

Galantamine is used to treat mild to moderate confusion (dementia) related to Alzheimer's disease. It does not cure Alzheimer's disease, but it may improve memory, awareness, and the ability to perform daily functions. This medication works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances (neurotransmitters) in the brain.

1. AIDS IN SLEEP AND INCREASES RELAXATION

Increases the ease in which sleep occurs through provoking earlier onset of REM sleep.

2. THE LUCID DREAM SUPPLEMENT

Increases the level and action time of acetylcholine, extending REM sleep, and increasing dream activity.

3. INCREASES MEMORY

Enhancing the levels of acetylcholine and modulating the effect of nicotinic receptors.

4. INCREASES ABILITY TO LEARN BY INCREASING SYNAPTIC PLASTICITY AND NEUROPLASTICITY

Stimulates synaptic plasticity by activating microglia and astrocytes.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of appetite, and weight loss may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
