Anhydrous Chromium(III) Chloride CAS 10025-73-7 is practically insoluble in cold water, soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether. It can sublime under chlorine flow and will convert to chromium(III) oxide when heated in air. It serves as a key raw material for manufacturing various chromium salts, acting as a mordant in textile dyeing, a catalyst for organic synthesis, and an additive for metal chrome plating. High-purity CrCl₃ (CAS 10025-73-7) is widely applied in organometallic chemistry, material research and pigment production.

Product Detail chromium chloride anhydrous

Anhydrous Chromium(III) Chloride is an inorganic chromium‑based salt, appearing as purple monoclinic crystalline flakes. It is hygroscopic, stable under normal conditions, slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in ethanol, and barely soluble in ether. It is widely applied as catalyst for organic synthesis, textile mordant, raw material for manufacturing other chromium salts, and precursor for electroplating and metal‑organic compound preparation. This substance may cause irritation to eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Adequate personal protective equipment shall be used during handling. Store in cool, dry and well‑sealed environment to avoid moisture absorption.
