Product Detail

Barium sulfate also weighs SPAR, which is colorless or white rhombic crystals.
When heated to 1149℃, it becomes monoclinic crystal with refractive index of 1.649.
Almost insoluble in water, 18℃ for 0.00022, 100℃ for 0.00041, slightly soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid;
Dissolve in carbonate alkali metal salt solution, become barium carbonate;
Insoluble in other acids and bases.

Barium sulfate has a strong ability to absorb X-rays, x-rays can not be passed through, medicine can be used for X-ray examination of the gastrointestinal agents (barium meal).
Barium sulfate is the only non-toxic barium salt.
Used in analytical reagent, electronics, instrument, metallurgy and other industries, as a white pigment, gastrointestinal X-ray fluoroscopy taking agents, copper smelting flux, drilling mud proportion increasing agent and rubber, paper, plastic white filler.
