DL-Dithiothreitol

Introduction:Dithiothreitol is a commonly used reducing agent, also known as dimercaptothreitol (DTT for short), which has strong reducibility, and its reducibility is largely due to the conformational stability of its oxidation state six-membered ring (containing disulfide bonds). The reducing power is affected by the Chemicalbook pH value, and the reducing effect can be exerted only when the pH value is greater than 7. This is because only the deprotonated thiol anion (-s -) is reactive, while the thiol (-SH) is not. The pKa of the sulfhydryl group is usually ~ 8.3.
