Lactobacillus plantarum is a homofermentative fermented, gram-positive-aerotolerant bacteria. Although it can grow up at 15℃, its optimized growth temperature is 30-35℃. As a typical Lactic Acid Bacteria, its metabolism mechanism can produce large amounts of lactic acid, acetic acid, lactobacilli etc. It has the ability to destroy pathogens, but also to preserve critical nutrients, vitamins. It also has a unique ability to consume oxygen, ultimately as the antioxidants. It can also produce lysine (a beneficial amino-acid), to deliver therapeutic compounds and proteins to the body etc.
