    Blue fired brown aluminum oxide is calcined at temperature about 1350 after normal production process of brown fused aluminum oxide. It is also called high temperature calcined brown fused alumina(Comparing with medium temperature calcined brown fused alumina at 1050). The impurities existed in the grains will be separated out & vaporized.The calcining treatment eliminate the cracks of brown fused alumina grain outside and inside. The surface of each particle changes coarser, improving the hydrophilicity and self sharpening greatly. So the abrasive grains will be easily get bonded with resin bonder. Thus it can improve cutting wheel performance which adopt this abrasive material.

     

     

    Features:

    1. Small expansion coefficient so it can prevent grain expansion and cracks of vitrified bonded abrasive wheels.
    2. Excellent hydrophilicity. So it can get abrasive grain bond tighter and improve abrasive wheel lifetime.
    3. High toughness, and high strength. That feature enhance the cutting wheel performance.
    4. Avoiding burning for bonded abrasive tools without grain crack and rust spots.
    5. High density and higher self-sharpening then brown fused alumina.
    6. Improve performance of abrasive tools, especially suitable for the production of high-grade consolidated abrasive tools.
