Betaine Salicylate is an innovative and gentle ingredient which is derived from natural sources of salicylic acid and betaine, combining the advantages of salicylic acid and betaine. It is generally believed that betaine salicylate is twice as effective as salicylic acid, that is, 4% betaine salicylate products are similar to 2% salicylic acid products. Betaine Salicylate is a typical exfoliating ingredient, which can smooth the skin; at the same time, studies have shown that this ingredient has a certain antibacterial effect and can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes. Therefore, Betaine Salicylate can be used as a mild active ingredient to be added to exfoliating, smoothing, anti-acne and tone-improving products.
