Description

Potassium Tert-Butoxide

Potassium tert-butanol is an organic compound, the formula is C4H9OK, is an important organic base, alkaline than potassium hydroxide. Due to the induction effect of (CH3) 3co-three methyl groups, it is more basic and active than other potassium alcohols, so it is a good catalyst. In addition, as a strong base, potassium tert-butanol is widely used in chemical industry, medicine, pesticides and other organic synthesis, such as transesterification, condensation, rearrangement strength, polymerization, ring opening and the production of heavy metal protoacrylate.

Potassium tert-butanol is the product of H atoms in the OH group of tert-butanol being replaced by K atoms.

Potassium tert-butanol comes in liquid and solid forms. Usually liquid industrial products for tert-butanol potassium tert-butanol solution, product color is light yellow or milky white, slightly cloudy, including tert-butanol potassium potassium content of 10%~12%; Solid products are generally white or white powder, in which the content of tert-butanol potassium is 95%~97%.
