      Mono Sodium Phosphate

Colorless crystal or white crystalline powder; Odorless and salty. Slightly deliquescent. Soluble water, almost insoluble in ethanol. We lose water at 100℃. Its aqueous solution is acidic.

Tasteless. Slightly hygroscopic. Heated to 225-250℃ to produce acid pyrophosphate sodium, 350-400℃ to form sodium metaphosphate. Median lethal dose (rat, muscle)250mg/kg. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is acidic, can caking in wet air, almost insoluble in ethanol. When heated to 100℃, dehydration, at 190-210℃ to produce sodium pyrophosphate, at 280-300℃ decomposition into sodium metaphosphate. Solubility in water :850 g/L (20°C).

Used as reactive dye additive. Used for phosphate-modified starch. Preparation of special compound food phosphate.
