Manganese monoxide is an oxide with the molecular formula MnO. It is gray-green powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in acid. Used as catalyst, feed auxiliary, trace element fertilizer, also used in medicine, smelting, welding, manufacture of dry batteries, etc. It can be obtained by thermal reduction of pyrolusite.
