Potassium Benzoate, E212, CAS no.582-25-2, the potassium salt of Benzoic acid, a white, odorless, flaky, crystalline powder, soluble in water. Potassium Benzoate manufacturing process via chemical synthesis, toluene and potassium hydroxide as raw materials. It uses as food preservative that inhibits the growth of mold, yeast and some bacteria. It works best in low-pH products, such as PH 4.5.
