DOP, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate ,also named a DEHP , is one of the most cost effective and widely available general purpose plasticizers on the market today. This colorless viscous liquid is soluble in Ethyl ether, ethanol, mineral oil and most organic solvents, but not in water. It possesses good plasticizing properties.

Application

DOP is used for leather, seats, PVC films, electrical wires, garden hose, paint ,coating ,Vinyl Flooring and plastic products.

1. Most widely used in the production of flexible PVC plastic, with broad range of compatibility for use with PVC resins.
2. Used as dielectric and hydraulic fluids.
3. Also a solvent for many chemicals, such as in glowstick.
