Product Detail

The appearance of L-citrulline is white crystal or crystal powder, easily soluble in water, insoluble in methanol and ethanol. It can be precipitated from its concentrated solution by phosphotungstic acid, and react with concentrated alkali solution to generate ornithine, carbon dioxide and ammonia. Its copper salt is a blue prism crystal with a melting point of 257-258°C. Exist in watermelon and other melons. In the human body, citrulline is a non-protein amino acid that does not participate in protein synthesis, but has the ability to form peptide bonds. In the past, it was believed that it only existed in the intermediate product of the ornithine-urea cycle.
