NMNH Chinese name is "reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide", is the reduced form of NMN, NMNH molecular formula is C11H17N2O8P, molecular weight: 336.23g/mol, CAS No.: 108347-85-9, is an amorphous yellow powder. 1.Enhancement of NAD+ level

As one of the hottest molecules in the field of anti-aging, NAD+ has been, without exception, at the centre of successive generations of anti-aging substances. Over the years, scientists have discovered and applied a variety of NAD+ precursors: NA, NAM, NR, NMN. among them, NMN is considered to be the most suitable NAD+ precursor at present.

To further demonstrate that NMNH can act as a potent NAD+ precursor, the researchers added the same concentration of NMN and NMNH to different mouse cells (AML12 and T37i) as well as human cells (HepG2, fibroblasts, SY5Y and human cervical cancer cells).

The test results showed that the addition of NMNH increased the NAD+ content in these cells and was more effective than NMN at the same concentration.

2.Elevates NAD+ concentration in the body

In order to assess the role of NMNH and NMN in the organism, the experimenters injected C57BL/6N mice with either carrier solution (PBS) or 250 mg/kg of NMN/NMNH, followed by sequential blood sampling (1, 4, and 20 hr), and tissue collection 24 hr later.

The results showed that NMNH was effective in increasing blood NAD+ concentrations, rapidly elevating NAD+ levels at 1 h after supplementation and much higher than those of NMN.Notably, blood NAD+ levels decreased to basal levels after 4 h of NMN supplementation, but NMNH was able to maintain more than a 2-fold increase in NAD+ concentrations for up to 20 h after the first injection.
