Soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in dichloromethane or dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in methanol, very slightly soluble in ethanol, almost insoluble in water, easily soluble in 1mol/L sodium hydroxide solution, Very slightly soluble in 0.1mol/L hydrochloric acid solution.

White to off-white crystalline powder, odorless and tasteless.
Soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in methanol, very slightly soluble in acetone, and almost insoluble in water. Slightly soluble in 0Chemicalbook.1mol/L hydrochloric acid, soluble in 0.1mol/L sodium hydroxide. Absorption coefficient (E1%1cm): 509～541

Telmisartan is a new type of antihypertensive drug and a specific angiotensin II receptor (AT type I) antagonist, used to treat essential hypertension. Replaces the angiotensin II receptor and binds with high affinity to the AT I receptor subtype (the known action site of angiotensin II). Telmisartan has no agonist effect at any site at the ATⅠ receptor and selectively binds to the ATⅠ receptor. The binding effect is long-lasting. It has no affinity for other chemicalbook receptors (including AT2 and other less characterized AT receptors). The functions of the other receptors mentioned above are not yet known, nor are the possible receptor overstimulation effects caused by telmisartan's increased angiotensin II levels. Telmisartan does not inhibit human plasma renin, nor does it block ion channels. It does not inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme II, which can also degrade adverse reactions caused by the enhanced effect of bradykinin.
