    Product Name: UL94 V-0 Transparent PC Sheet Flame Retardant FR-2025

    Application: PC ultra-thin and transparent Sheet

     

    Product Description

    1. Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid potassium (PPFBS) FR-2025 is a high-temperature resistant additive for transparent polycarbonate (PC). It does not contain bromine or chlorine compounds, has high solubility in polycarbonate, and requires minimal usage. It is used to produce fully transparent grades of polycarbonate resin without significantly affecting the resin's physical properties.
    2. Its chemical and thermal stability allows it to withstand temperatures exceeding 450°C, making it suitable for engineering plastics requiring high-temperature processing.
    3. Its effective addition level is very low, ranging from 0.06% to 0.08% by weight, at which PC resin remains fully transparent and passes the UL-94 V0 vertical burning test.

    Usage and Dosage:

    When manufacturing flame-retardant PC, FR-2025 can be directly added to the mixing kettle at 0.06%-0.08%, or it can be made into masterbatches at 1-3% and then added to the mixing kettle according to the ratio.

    After thorough mixing, the temperature of the PC should be maintained above 280°C, at which point the FR-2025 crystals undergo phase transformation and crosslink with the PC, resulting in flame retardancy. Subsequent extrusion yields fully transparent polycarbonate. Twin-screw extrusion typically yields better results.

    5. Minimal impact on the physical and mechanical properties of the resin itself.
