Gallic acid (GA) is a component of hydrolyzable tannins, also known as gallic acid, and its chemical name is 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid. The content of gallic acid in Yunnan Pu'er tea is relatively high, and it has various biological effects such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-mutation.

Application

Uses: 1. Preparation of phthalic acid disinfectant.

2. Chemical analysis reagent: As an amine alkaloid reagent, it is used for the fluorescence determination of primary amines and peptide bond decomposition products.

3. Fluorescence reagent, used for pre-column HPLC separation of amino acid derivatives and flow cytometric measurement of protein thiol groups.
