GB 276-96 is specified as a processing aid for the food industry. Anionic surfactant. Excellent foaming power and detergency.

Anionic surfactant. Due to low production cost and good performance, it is widely used, and it is the synthetic surfactant with the largest amount of household detergent. It also produces some inorganic salts such as magnesium and calcium and organic amine salts such as triethanolamine. Calcium dodecyl benzene sulfonate [27176-87-0] has excellent emulsifying properties and is an important component in the preparation of mixed emulsifiers for various pesticides. Benzene and α-olefin can be condensed under aluminum trichloride catalyst, and the condensation liquid can be distilled by alkali washing and water washing to recover benzene, and refined alkyl benzene can be obtained by vacuum distillation. Calcium dodecyl benzene sulfonate is then sulfonated with fuming sulfuric acid and neutralized in white ash (in twice the amount of ethanol).
