Tecovirimat(code ST-246) is a small molecule virus inhibitor that exhibits strong activity against viruses of the monkeypox genus, such as smallpox virus, monkeypox virus, and cowpox virus. It can inhibit 50% of monkeypox virus replication in vitro at a concentration of 0.01 μ mol/L. More importantly, it has a high tolerance to animals with complete or partial loss of immune function.
