Ternate Buttercup Root is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Ranunculaceae family and the Ranunculaceae genus. The root tubers are clustered in clusters, nearly spindle shaped or nearly oblong, fleshy, clustered in a cat claw like shape, with a stem height of 5-17 centimeters. Basal leaves are secondary, with apical lobes oblong-ovate, lateral lobes wedge-ovate, smaller, with blunt teeth or notches at the edges. Cauline leaves are sessile, with elongated lobes and blunt apex.
