    PVA

    1.  warp sizing material

    PVA based sizing agent is the most efficient synthetic sizing agent and fabric processing agent among sizing agents. It has good adhesion to cotton, linen, polyester, vinylon, and viscose fibers. The sizing film is colorless and transparent, with strong toughness, wear resistance, sun resistance, and high mechanical strength. It can reduce the breakage rate of the fabric machine. Due to the small amount of sizing, the woven fabric has a firm, smooth and delicate texture, and the surface is not rough. It can also increase the number of winding pieces and is easy to remove sizing.

    PVA can also be used as a fabric finishing agent, often mixed with urea and formaldehyde. When the fabric is subjected to high-temperature melting, the two react chemically, making the resin more flexible, thereby improving the stiffness and elasticity of the processed fabric. The stiffness of the fabric can be adjusted by the amount of PVA used.

    2. Paper processing

    PVA has strong adhesion and strong film-forming toughness. It can be used instead of starch and casein or in combination with them. It can be used as a color carrier for coated paper, or as a glue for surface gluing of copperplate paper, wear-resistant paper, sun drying base paper, kraft paper, etc. It can improve the wear resistance, folding resistance, tear resistance, gloss, smoothness, and printing adaptability of the paper. PVA aqueous solution can be used instead of water glass, starch, or in combination for printing and binding, bonding of cardboard boxes, cardboard, paper tubes, etc.

    3.  Adhesive

    A series of adhesives made from PVA as the main raw material have good adhesion to paper, cloth, and wood, and are widely used. They have good adhesion and water solubility, are non-toxic, and have a large market in materials such as bonding boards, leather, and decoration. Some inorganic substances such as clay, bentonite, alumina, titanium oxide, etc. can be added to increase the bonding strength. It is also possible to develop isocyanate based adhesives that do not contain formaldehyde and have strong water resistance.

    4. Thin film

    The film made of PVA has good transparency, high tensile and crack resistance, good moisture permeability and thermal insulation, oil resistance, organic drug resistance, and no static electricity, making it suitable for textile packaging. It can also be used as food packaging, non-toxic, odorless, pollution-free, biodegradable. In addition, it can be compounded with polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., used for instrument packaging, and can also be used for printing and plate making.

    5.  Acetaldehyde derivatives

    In the presence of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde, or other aldehydes or acid catalysts, PVA derivatives are formed through acetalization, further improving the water resistance and adhesion of polyvinyl alcohol. Formaldehyde compounds are widely used in interior wall coatings, building adhesives (such as 107 glue) and sponges. Butyraldehyde compounds have good adhesion to glass and can be used in coatings, leather, porcelain paper, aluminum foil, copper foil, safety glass, and other fields.

    6.  Fiber raw materials

    The polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers obtained by washing, dissolving, spinning, and formaldehyde reduction treatment can be mixed with fibers such as wool, cotton, and viscose to make polyvinyl alcohol products, non-woven fabrics, geotextiles, and are widely used in clothing, industrial cord, fishing net ropes, tarpaulins, agriculture, sanitary materials, etc.

    PVA can also be used to develop and manufacture high-strength and high modulus PVA fibers, replacing asbestos, as a reinforcing material for cement products, with a very broad prospect. In addition, it can also be used to manufacture water-soluble fibers, flame retardant fibers, hollow fibers, and protein fibers.

    7. Dry powder mortar

    PVA has good film-forming properties, resulting in excellent adhesion and solvent resistance. When used in combination with cellulose ether based water retaining agents, it can improve the flexibility and water retention of cement mortar and gypsum building materials, enhance mortar adhesion, and to some extent reduce the amount of latex powder used to lower the cost of dry powder mortar. It will bring a revolution to the dry powder mortar industry.

    Store in a well ventilated and away from sources of fire, dry and cool for at least 5 years.
