    RD Powder 8012 is a standard industrial-grade redispersible emulsion powder (RDP) based on vinyl acetate and ethylene copolymer (VAE). It is manufactured through emulsion polymerization, stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol protective colloid, blended with mineral anti-blocking agent, then processed via low-temperature spray drying to form uniform free-flowing white powder. The finished powder can rapidly redisperse into stable polymer emulsion after mixing with clean water, retaining all original film-forming, adhesive and flexible properties of raw VAE emulsion.
    RD 8012 owns balanced glass transition temperature (Tg ≈3℃) and minimum film-forming temperature (MFFT 0℃), featuring outstanding anti-sagging performance and construction workability. When added into cement, gypsum or lime-based dry-mix mortars, it forms continuous flexible polymer film inside the hardened matrix after water evaporation. This polymer network effectively improves multiple key performances of building materials: enhancing bonding strength between mortar and substrates (ceramic tile, concrete, gypsum board), boosting flexural strength and crack resistance, reducing internal shrinkage, upgrading water resistance and abrasion resistance, and optimizing construction smoothness without sagging or sliding during thick coating operation.
    Compared with hard high-Tg RDP grades, RD 8012 delivers moderate elasticity and superior saponification resistance, maintaining stable performance in long-term alkaline cement environments without film aging or pulverization. Its fine particle size ensures even mixing with cement, quartz sand and cellulose ether additives, no floating powder or agglomeration during dry blending. The mineral anti-blocking additive inside prevents powder caking under normal sealed storage, guaranteeing consistent feeding and redispersion effect batch after batch.
    This industrial universal grade covers mainstream dry-mix building material production lines. In interior & exterior wall putty, it increases surface toughness, avoids hollowing and cracking after long-term weather exposure. For ceramic tile adhesive and thin-bed mortar, it provides non-slump property for large-format tiles and flexible stress buffer to adapt thermal expansion difference between tile and wall base. It is also widely applied in finishing plaster, decorative grout, repair mortar and gypsum-based coating compounds to upgrade surface smoothness and durabilityAlibaba.co....
