In food industry, guar gum is used in frozen food, like ice-cream, stop ice dreg from forming and increase the frozen stability; baking food: keep the humidity and improve the texture; drink: improve taste and stabilize particle suspension; salad dressing: thickener, alternative oil; cheese and cream: improve the texture; cooked meat food: maintain water, increase oily slippery feeling; vegetarian food: alternative fat ingredients, keep moisture. Guar Gum Powder, from certified organic cultivation, raw food quality, suitable for vegetarians and vegans. GMO Free. Free of additives. Guar gum is extracted from the powdered seeds of the guar bean, a natural thickening agent which is used for the production of many foods. Guar gum also binds, without supplying heat, a variety of cold and warm dishes, such as soups, desserts, dips and creams. Use guar flour E 412 as a natural thickener agent for hot and cold sauces, dips, soups and desserts. Small amounts of guar flour E412 are sufficient to make highly viscous liquid food, such as soups, creams. Vigorous stirring or shaking reduces the viscosity of the dishes only temporarily.

Aqueous guar gum dispersions have a buffering action and arestable at pH 4.0–10.5. However, prolonged heating reduces theviscosity of dispersions.
The bacteriological stability of guar gum dispersions may beimproved by the addition of a mixture of 0.15% methylparabenand 0.02% propylparaben as a preservative. In food applications,benzoic acid, citric acid, sodium benzoate, or sorbic acid may beused.
Guar gum powder should be stored in a well-closed container ina cool, dry place.
