    Composition and Properties

LM-14 Glacier polyfluorides appear as a colorless liquid, insoluble in water, with low viscosity and stable chemical properties. At 20℃, the density is 1.6094g/cm³, the viscosity is 1.2cP, the thermal conductivity is 0.221W/m·K, no flash point, the boiling point is 50℃, the freezing point is below -90℃.

    Purpose and Usage

LM-14 glacier polyfluorides are colorless, odorless, non-toxic, safe, insoluble with water, good thermal stability, environmental friendly and other characteristics.

LM-14 Glacier polyfluorinated compound has a very moderate boiling point (about 50℃), high latent heat of vaporization (121.7kJ/(kg·K), applied to the data center server immersion phase change liquid cooling, in the process of working using the evaporation heat, without air-conditioning refrigeration, greatly reduce the power consumption of the room. PowerUsageEffectiveness (PUE) is below 1.1, saving more than 85% energy compared with traditional air cooling. Lm-14a glacier refrigerant has excellent electrical insulation performance, dielectric strength up to 55kV, will not cause damage to precision electronic equipment. At the same time, it has ideal chemical inertness, no ignition point, flash point, no flame, no explosion, good safety. Lm-14a glacier refrigerant also has excellent thermal conductivity, good mobility and system compatibility, ozone depleting potential (ODP) of 0, GlobalWarmingPotential (GWP) of 7, and environmental friendliness. It has no damage to ozone layer and has wide applicability. In addition to data centers, it is also widely used in high-speed train power supply inverter, hydrogen energy battery or lithium battery powered vehicle, semiconductor manufacturing equipment cooling, electronic cleaning, antistatic agent, fire fighting, fluorine material solvent, wind generator, nuclear power, uHV power grid and military radar system cooling and cooling.

    About Us

Glacier Coolant’s history goes back to 1994, when the founder of Glacier Coolant, Mr Songquan Bai, first invented a fluid, that can solve the problem of most chemical factory facing at that time, that the glycol solution they use to cool their reaction in their process system, corroded the pipe and equipment seriously. This product won favorable comments immediately once putted on the market, and was widely spread in China. It improved the plant operation efficiency in fine chemical factory and API factory.

Latterly, a series of anti-corrosion products were developed. By 2023, Glacier Coolant has more than 40 products covering a very wide temperature range from -110°C (-166°F) to 340°C (644°F), application industry expand to food and beverages, HVAC, cold storage, data center, fuel cell cooling etc. The product line includes silicon oil and thermal oil, and phase change materials (PCM) are also developed.

Currently, the company’s manufacturing facility is in Chaoyang, Liaoning, China. We created our Laboratory Service Unit in Beijing to improve research capabilities. Laboratory Service division helps the customer to design the product that can meet their specific requirement and solve the technique problems they are encountering. The center can also provide sample analysis for the products the customer currently use.
