    2. Ethylene glycol diethy 1  ether is widely used in chemical industry. It is a common solvent and is often used as a catalyst and dissolver in synthetic chemical reactions. Ethylene glycol diethy 1  ether is also used in the preparation of flame retardants, plastics, resins and coatings.

    Method:
    There are several methods for preparing ethylene glycol diethyl ether. One common method is to obtain it through the esterification reaction between ethylene glycol and ethyl ether. The catalysts commonly used for this reaction are hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, or ammonium sulfate. After the reaction is completed, purification by distillation can be used to obtain ethylene glycol diethyl ether.
