Nature:
- Appearance: Phenylbutazone is a white crystalline powder substance.
- Solubility: Butazone has a relatively small solubility in water, but can be dissolved in commonly used organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers and ketones.

Purpose:
Preservative: Phenylbutazone can be used as a preservative and is widely used in products such as paints, dyes and glues to extend their useful life.
- Fungicide: Phenylbutazone has a bactericidal effect and is often used in agriculture as a fungicide and as a mildew prevention agent. It can be used to treat some skin infections, conjunctivitis, and other inflammatory diseases.
