Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme drug. Clinically, it is mainly used for auxiliary treatment of coronary heart disease, and can improve symptoms such as chest tightness and angina pectoris. Adverse reactions occasionally include dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, etc.
Participates in energy metabolism and material metabolism in the body, which is beneficial to cell repair and renewal. Used for the treatment of coronary heart disease, myocarditis, leukopenia and other diseases.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme that transfers protons (more specifically, hydrogen ions) and appears in many metabolic reactions in cells. NADH or more accurately NADH+H+ is its reduced form. It can be reduced to carry up to two protons (written as NADH+H+). NAD+ is a coenzyme of dehydrogenases, such as alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), which is used to oxidize eth*. It plays an irreplaceable role in glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, tricarboxylic acid cycle and respiratory chain. The intermediate product will transfer the removed hydrogen to NAD, making it NADH+H+. NADH+H+ will serve as a carrier of hydrogen and synthesize ATP through chemical osmotic coupling in the respiratory chain. In terms of light absorption, NADH+H+ has an absorption peak at 260nm and 340nm, while NAD+ only has an absorption peak at 260nm. This is an important attribute that distinguishes the two. This is also the physical basis for measuring metabolic rate in many metabolic experiments. The absorption coefficient of NAD at 260nm is 1.78*104L/(mol*cm), while the absorption coefficient of NADH at 340nm is 6.2*10³L/(mol*cm).
