4-tert-ButylcatecholS (TBC)'s polymerization inhibitory performance is 25 times higher than that of hydroquino-ne/ at 60°C. It is an efficient polymerization inhibitor during the distillation or storage and transportation of olefin monomers (Styren-e, Butadien-e and other vinyl monomers), and is used as an antioxidant for unsaturated polyester resins, polymer materials, inks and oils, and stabilizer for pesticides.
