Chemical property

White powder. There are three crystal types: plate titanium, anatase and rutile. The latter two are mainly used in industry. The relative density of rutile type is 4.26, and the melting point is 1830 ~ 1850℃. Anatase has a relative density of 3.84Chemicalbook. Chemical properties are quite stable, insoluble in water, organic acids and weak inorganic acids, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, alkali and hydrofluoric acid. Refractive index: 2.70 for rutile type and 2.55 for Anatase type. Excellent pigment properties. Non-toxic.

Purpose

Coatings industry as white pigments and porcelain glazes. Used as coatings and fillers in the paper industry to improve printability and opacity of paper. In the smelting industry, it is used to make sponge titanium, ferrotitanium, and Chemicalbook cemented carbide. Used for insulator, welding rod, enamel, etc. It can also be used in synthetic fibers, plastics, rubber, printing, printing and dyeing, cosmetics industry, and as medical fillers and food additives.
