Product is white amorphous solid, odorless and tasteless, molecular weight 3×l05 ~ 4×106, hygroscopicity. Soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents. The specific curl of aqueous solution is -70 ~ -80. The most prominent is the high viscosity characteristics, the viscosity of the solution, in the following cases, can occur irreversible decline: (1) pH value below or above 7; (2) hyaluronidase exists; (3) Many reducing substances such as cysteine, pyrogallic acid, ascorbic acid or heavy metal ions are present; (4) ultraviolet light, electron beam irradiation, etc. It is a high polymer composed of (1-3) -2-acetylamino-2-deoxyBD-glucose -(1-4) -O-B-D-glucuronic acid disaccharide repeat units. Hydrolysis produces a hexosamine (e.g., glucosamine) and a glucuronic acid (e.g., glucuronic acid). Hyaluronic acid has a great viscosity, has a lubricating effect on bones and joints, can promote the diffusion of substances in the skin, and regulate the movement of Ca2+, Mg2+, K+ and Na+ on and around the cell surface. It has a strong water retention effect in tissues and is an ideal natural moisturizing factor. In nature, it is widely present in various animal tissues: connective tissue, umbilical cord, skin, human serum, comb, synovial fluid, brain, cartilage, eye vitreous, human urine, chicken embryo, rabbit egg cells, artery and vein walls. Tominic acid often binds to proteins and coexists with other mucopolysaccharides. It is present in dissolved form in the vitreous body and synovial fluid, and in a gel form in the comb and umbilical cord.

Precautions for safe handling

Dry. Well closed. Separated from food and feedstuffs and strong oxidants. Store in an area without drain or sewer access.

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell

Skin contact: Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Recycle to process, if possible. Consult your local regional authorities. You may be able to dissolve or mix material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber system. Observe all federal, state and local regulations when disposing of the substance.
