Pure products are colorless trapezoid crystals. The aqueous solution had a pungent, salty taste. Industrial products are small grains of white or yellowish color. It is soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol.

Purpose

Biological agents, precipitated proteins, reagents for chromatographic analysis, urine tests, culture media prepared in haploid breeding. Medicine is used as salting out agent, catalyst for food sauce color and Chemicalbook is used for cultivation of yeast for fresh yeast production. It is also used as a dye aid for acid dyes and as a deashing agent for leather. The production of hydrogen peroxide is used to make ammonium persulfate and electroplating.
