4,4'-Dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (DCDPS) is an important intermediate. It is primarily used in the preparation of aromatic polysulfones and in the synthesis of bis(4-aminophenyl) sulfone, which is used to treat leprosy and cure epoxy resins.
Mildly toxic by ingestion. When heated to decomposition it emitsvery toxic fumes of Cl- and SOx.Certificates-
