White amorphous powder. Naturally occurring titanium dioxide comes in three variants: rutile is a tetragonal crystal; Anatase is tetragonal crystal; Titanite is an orthogonal crystal. Mild heat is yellow, strong heat is brown. Insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid or nitric acid or dilute sulfuric acid and organic solvents, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, slightly soluble in alkali and hot nitric acid. Long boiling time can dissolve in concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid. It reacts with molten sodium hydroxide to form titanate. At high temperatures, it can be reduced to low-priced titanium compounds by hydrogen, carbon, sodium metal, etc., and react with carbon disulfide to produce titanium disulfide. The refractive index of titanium dioxide is the largest among white pigments, with rutile type being 8.70 and anatase type 2.55. Since both anatase and plate titanium dioxide convert to rutile at high temperatures, the melting and boiling points of plate titanium and anatase titanium dioxide are virtually non-existent. Only rutile titanium dioxide has a melting point and boiling point, and the melting point of rutile titanium dioxide is 1850 ° C, the melting point in the air (1830 soil 15) ° C, and the melting point in the oxygen rich 1879 ° C, and the melting point is related to the purity of titanium dioxide. The boiling point of rutile type titanium dioxide is (3200 soil 300)K, and titanium dioxide is slightly volatile at this high temperature.

    Application:

Used as spectral analysis reagent, preparation of high purity titanium salt, pigment, polyethylene coloring agent, abrasive agent. It is also used in the pharmaceutical industry, capacitive media, high temperature resistant alloys, and high temperature resistant titanium sponge.
Used in the production of titanium dioxide, titanium sponge, titanium alloy, artificial rutile, titanium tetrachloride, titanium oxide sulfate, potassium fluotitanate, aluminum titanium chloride and so on. Titanium dioxide can be made of high-grade white paint, white rubber, synthetic fiber, coating, welding rod and rayon dimming agent, plastic and high-grade paper filler, but also used in telecommunications equipment, metallurgy, printing, printing and dyeing, enamel and other departments. Rutile is also the main mineral raw material for titanium extraction. Titanium and its alloys have high strength, low density, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, non-toxic and other excellent properties, and have special functions such as gas absorption, superconductivity, so it is widely used in aviation, chemical industry, light industry, navigation, medical, national defense and Marine resources development and other fields. More than 90% of titanium minerals in the world are used in the production of titanium dioxide white pigments, and this product is more and more widely used in paint, rubber, plastics, paper and other industries.

Store in cool, ventilated warehouse. The package is sealed. Do not store and transport with acid.
Rutile mineral products shall not be mixed with foreign debris in the process of packaging and storage. The packing bag materials are corrosion resistant and not easily damaged. Double bag packaging, the inner and outer layer specifications should be matched, the inner layer is a plastic bag or cloth bag (can also use kraft paper), the outer layer is a woven bag. The net weight of each package is 25kg or 50kg. When packing, the bag mouth should be sealed tightly, and the mark on the bag should be firm, and the writing should be clear and not fade. Each batch of mineral products shall be accompanied by a quality certificate of compliance with the standard requirements. The storage of mineral products should be stacked in different grades, not mixed grades, and the storage site should be clean.
