Introduction: Carnosine zinc is a chelate of zinc and L-carnosine, and its full name is β -alanyL-L-histidinatozinc (Beta-alanyl-L-HistidinatoZinc). It contains 23% zinc and 77% L-carnosine. It is a drug approved in Japan, a gastric mucosal protective agent, and is clinically used to treat gastric ulcers. Polypromac Zinc is a new anti-ulcer drug developed by Hamari New Drug Co., Ltd. of Japan. It is the first zinc-containing compound used in clinical practice. The drug was launched in Japan under the trade name Promac in 1994 and is in the form of granules. Polyzinc is a zinc complex of L-carnosine. L-carnosine is a dipeptide composed of β -alanine and L-histidine, and it is an antioxidant. Zinc can promote wound healing. Clinical trial data show that Polyzinc has antioxidant and membrane stabilizing effects, thereby maintaining the homeostasis of the gastric mucosa and protecting gastric mucosal cells. At the same time, it can also promote wound healing, enhance the function of defense factors, and prevent and treat peptic ulcers.
