      Product Application

    (1)  Food and Beverage Industry: As an acidulant, it can endow foods and beverages with a refreshing sour taste. For example, it is used in carbonated beverages, fruit juice drinks, jams and candies to adjust the taste. As a preservative, it can inhibit the growth of microorganisms and extend the shelf life of foods, such as its application in canned foods.

    (2) Chemical Industry: It is an important chemical raw material, used for the production of citric acid ester plasticizers. It can also be used as an auxiliary agent for detergents to enhance the decontamination effect. Meanwhile, in cosmetics, it acts as a pH regulator to stabilize the product performance.

    (3)  Pharmaceutical Industry: In the pharmaceutical field, it can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of various drugs, and can also be used to adjust the pH value of pharmaceutical preparations. It can also be used as a component of disinfectants and has a certain bactericidal and disinfecting effect.

    (4) Other Industries: In the electroplating industry, it can be used as a complexing agent, which helps to improve the electroplating effect. In the construction industry, it can be added to concrete as a setting retarder to prolong the setting time of concrete.

      Product Function

    (1) Adjusting the pH value: It can reduce the pH value of the solution, making the system acidic. It is used to adjust the acidity and alkalinity in the fields of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc., to achieve the specific pH environment required by the product and ensure the stability and effectiveness of the product.

    (2) Chelating metal ions: It can form stable chelates with metal ions such as iron, calcium, and magnesium. In water treatment, it can prevent the formation of scale. In food, it can prevent oxidation reactions caused by metal ions and extend the shelf life of food.

    (3) Providing sour taste: It has a strong sour taste, which can add a sour flavor to foods, beverages, etc., improve the taste, and endow the product with a unique flavor.

    (4)  Enhancing antioxidant effect: When used in combination with antioxidants, it can enhance the antioxidant effect, reduce the oxidative rancidity of substances such as foods and oils, and maintain the quality of the product.

    (5)  Inhibiting bacteria and preserving: At a certain concentration, it can inhibit the growth and reproduction of microorganisms such as bacteria and molds, play a role in anti-corrosion and preservation, and extend the shelf life of products such as foods and cosmetics.
