Ketoglutaric acid calcium is one of the main components of Compound α-Keto Acid Tablets (Kai Tong). α-Keto acids and their derivatives have shown increasingly broad application prospects in food, daily chemicals and medicine fields.

Purpose

This product is a feed nutrient enhancer. Its effect and biological efficacy are the same as those of DL-ethylmethionine when L-ethylmethionine is present. When livestock and poultry are deficient in methionine, it can lead to poor development, weight loss, weakened liver and kidney functions, muscle atrophy, and deterioration of fur quality.
This product is widely used in organic synthesis, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc. In organic synthesis, it can be used as a catalyst, chlorinating agent, curing agent, and stabilizer; in the dye industry, it can be used as a raw material for producing Disperse Red 343; in medicine, it can be used for the production of Olsalazine, etc.; it can be used as a color developer for color photographs; and it can also be used as a fungicide, etc.
